if I inject on an alt account and play legit on my main, if for some reason my alt gets detected will my main get VACed, and if so how do I play on both while keeping my main safe?

It may be possible that your main can be linked and banned, but that rarely happens.

Correction: You're main account will not be banned UNLESS you have linked the same email. Same credit card and PayPal and other payment methods are only in custody of Valve, and do not have permission to access that information, so CS:GO can only ban based off of linked emails. -
