I guess I love talking to you guys… I just purchased a pre-paid Visa gift card worth 50$ that I have used many times in the past. I haven’t used a penny on it and I get this error when trying to purchase. “We’re sorry, but your transaction couldn’t be completed using the selected card, Visa x-1807 because it has been denied by the card issuer. Another payment method has been chosen for you. Please continue with this payment method, or choose a different way to pay.” The other payment method is a credit card that I do not use, and will not use. Please help. Thanks

Sounds like you should go back to where you bought it and ask them why they deny paypal purchases.

They do not deny paypal purchases. I have done many purchases through paypal before. Do you accept any other form of payment? Would like to purchase it now. -
Sorry for double post, I already called the company and explained to them what I was doing. They said the only thing these cards don't accept are recurring payments, and to my knowledge you aren't doing that

We only accept paypal at this time. The message as I read it indicates that its not paypal stopping the purchase, but Visa. -
Pretty strange, I re-purchased it for a day, I had enough in my paypal account. I'll try and call them again tomorrow see what the issue is. Thank you for the quick support though, much much appreciated

As i stated before, I have one but will not use it online as I am unable to. Restrictions I put on for myself. I'm using a pre-paid Visa card, I know it works, as I've used it many times in the past with paypal, I contacted the number on the card and they said everything is fine. I rather not go somewhere else but if I don't have any options what can I do...

I am not declining your purchase. Paypal is declining it at the request of Visa. There is nothing I can do to help you in this situation.

Any pointers on what I should do? Should I contact the # on the card again and set up a pre-authorized payment or something?

The only logical suggestion I can make is contact that card's support and press them for the real reason its being blocked.
